Brian L. Murland has an extensive background in the representation of financial institutions in loan transactions and preferred equity investments, with an emphasis on real estate-based financing.  He has represented numerous commercial banks, real estate investment trusts and other commercial lending sources in their construction, mezzanine debt and permanent lending activities.   In addition, his practice focuses on a broad spectrum of real estate matters, including, the structuring of acquisitions and dispositions of commercial, industrial, mixed-use and residential properties, and the creation and conversion of condominiums.  Brian also represents both landlords and tenants in all aspects of retail, office and warehouse leasing.   

Prior to joining the firm, Brian was a Member at the law firm of Cozen & O’Connor in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he specialized in real estate and corporate finance.

Brian received his law degree from the Villanova University School of Law in 1998, where he was an editor of the Villanova Environmental Law Journal.  He earned his undergraduate degree from the Cornell University School of Industrial and Labor Relations in 1995.  While at Cornell, he was awarded the Gary and Marilyn Hellinger Award for Outstanding Business Plan.

He was recognized as a “Pennsylvania Rising Star” in Real Estate by the publishers of Law & Politics and Super Lawyers in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
