Richard J. Abt practices primarily in the areas of taxation, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, corporate financing, franchising and creditors rights.  He has structured and prepared documentation for leveraged leasing transactions, syndications, public offerings, and mergers and acquisitions.

Richard's background includes significant positions he has held in business as well as in the practice of law.  His experience is very helpful in advising both public and private corporations on matters of strategic planning.

He received his bachelor's degree with honors from Princeton University in 1967 and his law degree, magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School in 1971 where he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review.

He is on the Board of Directors of Congregation Keneseth Israel.
